Role description
Located on Lake Albert at Meningie - the gateway to the Coorong on Ngarrindjeri country and less than a 2-hour drive from Adelaide, Meningie Area School provides education R-12 for the local area in primary (R-6) and secondary (7-12) teams. Students transition from Meningie Kindergarten and Raukkan Aboriginal School. Modern facilities, small classes and spacious grounds including an agriculture block, gym/hall, music space, cultural room, art space, specialist technologies and science spaces and a nature play provide a vibrant learning environment. A school- community library services the school and local community
We are seeking an enthusiastic Primary NIT Health and Physical Development teacher to join our team. Meningie Area School provides:
A supportive small team environment led by the Assistant Principal Primary
Small class sizes
Experienced SSO support for students with additional needs
Ongoing professional learning opportunities
A fantastic environment including an Agriculture block, garden beds and natural environment of the lake.
The role involves:
Delivering a Health & Physical Education program R-6. (may include year 7).
Adopting Berry Street Education Model approaches.
With the secondary Health & Physical Education teacher plan and organise school sporting events e.g. Sport's Day, Swim Carnival.
Support students access the SAPSASA program
Support the school sailing team
Actively contributing to the primary team
