Role description

We are seeking a passionate and committed Visual Arts Teacher to join St Patrick’s College, Strathfield to cover a parental leave contract from Monday 20 July 2026 until Friday 25 June 2027 (End of Term 2). This is a temporary full-time position. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a hands‑on, student‑centred environment and is committed to supporting high‑quality practical learning. 

The Visual Arts Faculty at St Patrick’s College is a vibrant, supportive, and highly collaborative team where creativity, innovation, and practical learning are at the heart of everything we do. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape engaging Visual Arts experiences from Stage 3 to Stage 5, contribute to Photographic and Digital Media, and work with colleagues who are passionate about nurturing students’ artistic confidence and technical skill. About You 

  • You have a working understanding of, and commitment to the Catholic ethos of a School in the Edmund Rice tradition.
  • You have a demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours and professional boundaries that reflect child safeguarding values in practice.
  • You are qualified to teach Visual Arts, ideally with experience in Photographic and Digital Media - Stage 4 to Stage 6 with NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW.
