Role description
We are seeking to establish a pool of Special Needs Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
The School
Carey Park Primary School (PS) currently has 280 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. We are situated in the city of Bunbury, 170 kilometres south of Perth. Opened in 1955 for students in Years 1 to 3, the original structure remained in use until 2000 when the new, state-of-the-art two storey building was completed. Classes commenced in the new facilities at the beginning of the 2001 school year. The school was successful in becoming an Independent Public School in 2013.
Carey Park PS is a dynamic public school with a rich history, strong traditions and a proud identity. Our Choose Respect initiative is a whole school focus, immersing the school and community in a culture of respect where everyone treats each other with care and consideration. Community support for our approaches to instilling mutual respect is high, with strong partnerships existing between the school and its wider community.
