About the role
Sports Coordinator
Full Time
Damascus College is seeking a dynamic and motivated Sports Coordinator to lead and manage the College’s sporting programs. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised professional who is passionate about student engagement, teamwork, and wellbeing through sport.
As the Sports Coordinator, you will lead the planning, delivery and promotion of the College’s sporting program, ensuring all students have the opportunity to participate, compete and represent the College with pride.
Working with staff and students from Year 7-12 your duties will include:
Key Responsibilities
- Drive active student participation in sport across Years 7–12, including whole-school events and rowing
- Plan and deliver interschool, inter-house and out-of-hours sporting events and carnivals
- Manage all sport-related administration, including entries, risk assessments, travel and compliance requirements
- Recruit, induct and support coaches, umpires and support staff, ensuring awareness of student health needs
- Oversee sporting equipment, uniforms and budgets in collaboration with relevant teams
- Promote sporting achievements through newsletters, assemblies and social media
- Build strong partnerships with local sporting organisations and represent the College at BAS meetings
- Support the development and coordination of the College Rowing Program, including community engagement
- Contribute to broader College priorities, including student wellbeing
