Join Our Team at John Paul College!
John Paul College, Frankston is a Catholic co-educational secondary school with a rich heritage in the traditions of the FCJ sisters and the Marianists. We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified Arts Assistants to join our Technology and Arts Departments. This part-time position (0.4) requires the successful applicant to work on Mondays and Fridays during term time.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Arts and Technology Teachers, ensuring the smooth delivery of curriculum.
- Ensure a safe and effective learning environment for students.
- Prepare and maintain arts technology equipment and materials.
- Assist with class demonstrations, maintain workshops and classrooms, order supplies, prepare materials and equipment for practical classes and support classroom teachers in practical classes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup and Flash Print.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills with staff, students and external organisations.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Willingness and ability to work in a flexible manner within a team environment.
- Flexibility with working hours as these can change each semester based upon timetables.
- Willingness to support the Catholic ethos of the College and its mission to educate young people.
