Wallan Primary School is a growing primary school located in the township of Wallan, approximately 50 kilometres north of Melbourne. The school currently comprises 34 modern classrooms, alongside two Visual Arts rooms, an Auslan/Performing Arts space, a new kitchen, a mini gymnasium, a canteen, and a brand-new competition-grade Basketball Gymnasium. Our well-maintained oval includes a half-size soccer pitch, and our shaded play areas, playgrounds, and gardens continue to be developed to create a welcoming, inclusive environment for students, staff, families, and visitors.
We are a student-centred school that values every child who enters our community, recognising the unique `backpack¿ of experiences, knowledge, skills and culture they bring, and working collaboratively as a team to help add to that backpack throughout their years at Wallan Primary School.
Wallan Primary School is deeply committed to evidence-based Literacy and Numeracy practices that support high-quality teaching and learning. Teachers use detailed knowledge of student progress to personalise learning experiences, supported by expert Literacy and Numeracy Leaders. Additional intervention programs are in place for students requiring extra support. Access to technology is embedded across the school, with one-to-one devices, provided by the school in all year levels.
