Selection Criteria

1. Impactful Occupational Therapy Practice
Demonstrated ability to conduct occupational therapy assessment and design interventions that measurably improve student participation, engagement and independence in school environments.

2. Translating Therapy into Classroom Practice
Demonstrated ability to translate occupational therapy knowledge into practical strategies that improve student participation within classroom learning environments.

3. Sensory Regulation Expertise
Demonstrated expertise in sensory processing and regulation, including the design and implementation of environmental adjustments and structured sensory supports within school settings.

4. Collaborative Practice in Education Settings
Highly developed ability to collaborate with teachers, leadership, families and allied health professionals to translate clinical assessment into clear, practical recommendations that support student learning and inclusion.

5. Data-Informed Practice
Demonstrated ability to use assessment data to guide intervention planning and provide recommendations that inform student support planning including IEPs, DIPs and behaviour supports.

6. Multi-Tiered Systems of Support
Demonstrated understanding of multi-tiered systems of support and the ability to provide targeted and intensive occupational therapy supports while strengthening universal classroom practices.
