Role description
This is a permanent part-time (0.4FTE) position commencing ASAP
The School Curriculum and Standards Division provides administrative and secretariat services for, and implements the decisions of the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority). Its core purpose is to provide high-quality curriculum, assessment and standards that enable Western Australian students to become confident, creative learners and informed, active citizens.
Within the Division, the Examinations, Certification and Testing (ECT) Directorate manages the design, delivery and quality assurance of key assessment programs, including ATAR examinations, EST, NAPLAN and OLNA. The Directorate ensures the integrity, analysis and reporting of student data, oversees assessment logistics and moderation processes, and maintains effective systems and interfaces between schools and the Authority to support accurate data collection and reporting.
The Role
Responsible for assessing overseas secondary school applications for equivalency with Western Australian qualifications, ensuring all submissions meet quality and compliance standards. This includes verifying the authenticity and certification of documents, conducting research using United Kingdom National Recognition Information Centre (UKENIC) database through the European Commission of Consumer, Trade and Industry Services (ECCTIS) and other authoritative sources, and preparing accurate responses to applications and general enquiries.
