Role description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, innovative and student-focused teacher to join our secondary team, with a teaching focus across Years 7-10 English, Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS).
The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to high-quality teaching and learning, inclusive education practices, and building positive relationships with students, staff and families. They will contribute to a collaborative school culture that values wellbeing, engagement, literacy development and student growth.
This role is suited to an educator who is passionate about supporting young people to become confident learners, critical thinkers and active participants in their community.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Learning
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging learning programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum for Years 7-10 English, HASS and EIF.
- Differentiate curriculum and learning experiences to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Use evidence-informed teaching strategies to improve student achievement, engagement and literacy outcomes.
- Establish positive and inclusive classroom environments that promote high expectations and respectful relationships.
- Use assessment data to monitor student progress and inform future teaching.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and families.
