Role description
Hampton Senior High School (SHS) are seeking to establish a pool of Special Needs Education Assistants to join their Specialist Learning Program: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Learning Support Program for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
Suitable applicants will ideally have considerable interest in learning evidence-based approaches to working with students with a range of special needs, in particular ASD, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with teachers, Student Support Officers and other Education Assistants.
In collaboration with teachers, suitable applicants will support teachers to implement programs and pedagogy to meet the needs of students with special needs to assist teachers in the Specialised Learning Program - ASD or in mainstream classes. Facilitating small groups of students in ou…
