Education Assistant - Special Needs

We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistant - Special Needs for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Gwynne Park Education Support Centre (ESC) is a well-established primary school specialising in the delivery of individualised programs for children in Kindergarten to Year 6 with intellectual disability, physical disability, autism spectrum disorder with identified high educational need and sensory impairment. We share the same campus as Gwynne Park Primary School in the suburb of Brookdale.

The Gwynne Park ESC is a purpose-built school, which opened in 1991 and across the school campus Gwynne Park ESC has ten air-conditioned classrooms. Gwynne Park ESC has a fully equipped functional kitchen, multi-sensory interactive room (Rainbow Room) with accompanying technologies and resources and laundry with ablution facilities.

The Role

As a Special Needs Education Assistant, you will be working with students with disabilities and additional learning needs. Suitable applicants will ideally be dedicated, friendly, positive and student focussed individuals who can work alongside a small team to provide support for students.
