About the Opportunity:
John Paul College is seeking applications from an experienced and passionate Guitar Tutor to join our dynamic music department from Term 3, 2026.

We have an exciting role available for a dedicated music educator who thrives in a collaborative, creative setting and loves bringing out the best in their students.

This casual role involves approximately 9 hours of lessons, and 1-2 ensembles per week, worked on Monday to Friday during term time. There is potential for additional hours of work as student enrolments increase.

This role will be responsible for:

  • Delivering high-quality music instruction to students across a range of abilities and learning styles.
  • Follow College processes for scheduling, conducting, reporting and communicating lessons
  • Supporting students in developing strong technical foundations, sight-reading proficiency, musical interpretation, and confident performance skills.
  • Staying updated with emerging musical trends and integrate them into teaching and performances.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents to maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Availability to supervise and oversee live performances as required
  • Assist with production logistics, including equipment setup and pack-down
