Role description
About the role
Christ the Priest (CtP) Primary School is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.
The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic teacher of physical education, who is able to collaborate with others as part of a specialist team working towards improving learning outcomes for all students in their care. A passion for outdoor education and an understanding of catering to a diverse community is essential.
Selection Criteria:
1. Be faith-filled with a strong commitment to the Catholic Ethos of the school and to the spiritual, emotional, social and educational wellbeing of all students
2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the capacity to continue to build strong relationships with students, staff and parents
3. Strong behaviour management practices
4. Curriculum knowledge in the area of Health and Physical Education – Movement and Physical Activity and ability to engage students in inclusive ways in this area of the curriculum.
5. Ability to administrate whole school sporting events, organise external sporting events and interschool events with strong understanding of compliance and risk management.
Special Requirements
The successful applicant should:
-accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is desirable.
-be committed to child safety, to maintaining best practices to ensure this and to ongoing evaluation of these practices
-have read and be committed to maintaining the standards as set out in our Child Safe Code of Conduct
