The Student Support Directorate is seeking a Leading Counsellor to work in partnership with school communities to effectively implement a multi-tiered system of support to promote student wellbeing and attendance across the Diocese. This is a permanent full time position!
As part of the mission of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Parramatta, the Leading Counsellor is accountable for supporting the system's strategic intent of improving learning outcomes for all students.
Key Responsibilities
- Join an interdisciplinary team of teachers, social workers and other wellbeing practitioners who oversee and support the systemic rollout and implementation of multi-tiered systems of support to improve student outcomes.
- Work as part of the Wellbeing strategy team to lead the development, implementation and maintenance of CSPD attendance policy and procedures
- Be a subject matter expert in attendance and a conduit in the development and maintenance of CSPD enterprise systems (data, student information and compliance systems) that support best practice in attendance
- Collaborate and consult with teachers in schools and system leaders to facilitate professional growth and build capacity to implement effective learning and attendance support interventions
