Role description
Nailsworth Primary School is a high-performing school that requires teachers to excel in collaborative practice within a culture focused on achieving quality student outcomes. Literacy and numeracy programs reflect current best practice, and teachers are expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to ongoing professional learning.
Teachers cater for a diverse range of learners, including more capable students, through the integration of digital technologies and Project-Based Learning (PBL) methodologies. Students with additional needs are supported through negotiated and personalised program adjustments. Communication strategies are inclusive, and a strong service culture underpins relationships with students, families, and the broader community, recognising and valuing high parent expectations.
Staff are expected to embed ICT meaningfully into their teaching using contemporary technologies, while also supporting the school's commitment to maintaining students' first language. Teachers work collaboratively within year level teams and across Foundation to Year 6, actively contributing to Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and whole-school approaches.
We are seeking an educator with a strong commitment and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an Early Years team, supporting children with diverse needs, abilities, and backgrounds. As a majority of students are EALD learners, strong literacy pedagogy is essential. Effective classroom management, organisation, and the ability to create inclusive learning environments are critical.
