Located on the harbour foreshore at Rozelle, the school leverages its stunning waterfront setting to offer distinctive programs including kayaking, rowing, and foreshore-based academic enrichment, while delivering a broad and innovative curriculum encompassing subjects such as Philosophy, Marine Biology, Psychology, and STEM. Sydney Secondary College is a diverse and inclusive multi-campus setting in the inner west, comprising of two Year 7 - 10 campuses (Leichhardt and Balmain) and one Year 11 - 12 campus (Blackwattle Bay). Sydney Secondary College Balmain Campus has a current enrolment of 834 students. Our middle school setting comprises selective and comprehensive streams, along with support classes for autism and physical disabilities. Our school also delivers high potential gifted education programs and enrichment opportunities for student learning in academic, creative, physical and socio-emotional domains, with entry into these programs via a competitive process in Year 6.
SSC Balmain Campus is located on the harbour foreshore at Rozelle, presenting both challenges and opportunities.
