Role description
The Heights Technical College is looking for a Teacher for the Building and Construction Industry Skills Training Program.
This role is ideal for a teacher who values industry-connected learning, thrives in collaborative teaching teams and is dynamic and creative in the way they meld the requirements of industry and those of SACE. Applicants with experience in technology studies, have a trade back-ground, vocational education or similar student-led differentiated learning skills may be well suited for this role.
You will work along-side other specialist teachers, trainers and industry partners to deliver engaging, practical learning programs that prepare students for success in the construction workforce or further training.
What you will do:
- Design, deliver and assess curriculum aligned to the Australian Curriculum and SACE, including specialised industry training programs.
- Collaborate with trainers, industry leads and colleagues to integrate technical skills, promote inclusive practices and foster student engagement.
- Set challenging, achievable learning goals and implement evidence-based teaching strategies to support academic and practical skill development.
- Contribute to student wellbeing through mentoring, career planning, behaviour management, and differentiated instruction for diverse learners.
