Primary objective
Provide high level administrative and secretarial support to the Chief Executive (CE) of the Department of Education and Training.
Context statement
This position is located within the fast-paced environment of the Office of the CE. It requires a person who is experienced, mature, calm, flexible, well organised, and able to work under pressure and after hours as required.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Ensure a professional and efficient approach to the management of services to the CE at all times.
- Provide high level administrative and secretarial support, including scheduling meetings and appointments, processing correspondence, maintaining records, making travel arrangements, initiating follow-up action to ensure deadlines are met, handling telephone enquiries and visitors, and compiling and distributing meeting papers.
