Primary objective
The Senior Secretariat Officer is a senior member of the secretariat work unit that supports the provision of high-quality services to the Department of Education and Training including facilitating the effective flow of information and communication between the department and the Minister to ensure documentation is accurate, timely and compliant. The Senior Secretariat Officer will be responsible for providing advice, training and mentoring by facilitating information sessions to improve quality of correspondence across the department.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Provide a high quality and timely secretariat support to the department, including coordination and preparation of ministerial briefings, Cabinet submissions, Legislative Assembly and Estimates Committee briefing processes, internal and external correspondence, and briefings for agency portfolios.
