Support of Science Teaching and Learning
Demonstrated ability to effectively support Science programs through the preparation, setup and pack-down of laboratory materials, equipment and practical activities in a timely, organised and responsive manner -
Laboratory Operations and Resource Management
Proven experience in managing laboratory operations, including stock control, ordering and purchasing supplies, maintaining equipment, and ensuring laboratory and preparation areas are safe, clean and well-organised -
Health, Safety and Compliance Knowledge
Sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety requirements, including chemical safety, maintenance of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), risk assessment processes, and safe storage, handling and disposal of laboratory materials in line with DET guidelines -
Communication and Team Collaboration
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff, support students where required, and liaise effectively with external suppliers and stakeholders -
Organisation, Administration and Professional Practice
Strong organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records, support budgeting and resource management processes, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and professional learning
