Role description

About the role

We are currently seeking applications for a school bus driver. The school operated bus service operates twice a day between Drysdale and Leopold. The 33 seat bus caters for approximately 33 children per trip (4 trips per day).

This is a fixed-term position, beginning at the beginning of Term 3, Monday 20 July 2026 and concluding on Tuesday 26 January, 2027, with the possibility of further employment beyond this date. Employment times will be 2 hours per morning, 2 hours per afternoon inclusive of appropriate refueling and bus cleaning time. 

Times of work: 7:30am – 9:30am and 2:30pm – 4:30pm

Additional driving may also be required for swimming programs, sports events and class excursions. These occur at different times throughout the school year.

Only candidates with the following will be considered for the position:

• An excellent driving record

• A minimum of a medium ridged license

• A current Drivers Accreditation from the Commercial Passenger Vehicle (CPV) Victoria

• A valid Working with Children's Check (WWC) and current police check

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Completing a daily AM and PM School Bus Service

• Maintaining cleanliness of vehicle at all times

• Coordinate appropriate bus servicing and maintenance

• Holding a clear understanding of relevant road rules 

• Upholding all OH&S and child safe practices, inclusive of appropriate footwear and high-visibility clothing
