Role description
St Thomas More School is looking for a full time Mid-Year Reception teacher to join our wonderful school community. You will play a pivotal role in the success and transition of our youngest members of the community into school life. The successful candidate will join a dedicated and collaborative team of educators, committed to working in partnership with families and caregivers to provide individualised care alongside quality teaching and learning programs, to ensure students are given opportunities to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for someone who can develop strong and positive relationships with students and can establish a highly engaging learning environment in and out of the classroom.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Willingness to actively uphold and contribute to the Catholic ethos of the school, including its Mercy Education Values.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the Australian Curriculum, incorporating contemporary, evidence-based Early Years pedagogies, including explicit teaching.
- Proven ability to collect and maintain comprehensive data and records of student progress and achievement.
- Demonstrated capacity to adapt teaching practices to meet the diverse needs of students.
