Role description
This is a 6 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 2, 2026 with possible extension (12 months)
Wyndham District High School (DHS) uses explicit teaching strategies and interventions such as Spelling Mastery and Macqlit. Prime Mathematics is the current mathematics program in the primary school. Wyndham DHS is a participant in the Kimberley Schools Project and all staff have access to quality professional learning. Our school has a culture of reflection and feedback; all teachers have the opportunity to participate in classroom coaching. Wyndham DHS is a supportive team; our school motto is 'High Expectations, Positive Attitudes'. Wyndham DHS is a trauma informed, Positive Behaviour School (PBS) school looking for culturally responsive teachers.
Wyndham is located 100 kilometres from Kununurra and has a population of approximately 800 people. It is surrounded by some of the Kimberley’s most spectacular landforms, rivers, and wetlands, offering a host of outback adventures.

The Role
The successful applicant will ideally be dedicated to planning and delivering high quality teaching programs that promote student engagement and achievement in the Arts area, focusing on Visual Arts. Working in partnership with others in a supportive environment is a focus in our school for both staff and students.
