Role description


This is a 6 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 3, 2026.

Yulga Jinna is a small Aboriginal community in the Murchison Mid-West Region. Yulga Jinna, which means Flat Foot, is located 135kms northwest of Meekatharra. All students in the school are Aboriginal, with Aboriginal English being their first language.

Yulga Jinna was one of the first communities to have a School Community Partnership created in 2004 that clearly states the roles and responsibilities between the community and the school. The Yulga Jinna Community is very proud of their school and are proactive in all aspects of school operations.

The Role

As a classroom teacher at Yulga Jinna Remote Community School (RCS) you will be teaching in a multi-age group classroom consisting of students from Year 4 to Year 7. Experience in the SUpS Program will be an advantage. Professional learning will be provided in Yulga Jinna RCS. Focus areas including Teachwell, SUps Training and Trauma Informed Practice.

The successful applicant will ideally be a passionate, motivated, and skilled educator who is committed to improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for every child, every day, through our whole school approaches, explicit teaching, and instructional strategies.
