Role description


This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 2, 2026

We cater for students in Kindergarten to Year Six and provide academic, social, physical and emotional well-being for our students. Our staff work with parents, carers and families to maximise opportunities for each student to reach their potential. These relationships are valued and are important partnerships that support a positive and nurturing learning environment.

The Role

The role of the Education Assistant - Lead is to lead, mentor, coach, and model good practices for other Education Assistants. You will be an important and valued leader of the Learning Support team. The successful applicant should operate collaboratively with superordinates and subordinates and be able to build and maintain effective team-based relationships. We value individuals who are highly professional, organised and display excellent communication skills, in line with the Department of Education’s Code of Conduct, drawing on these attributes when working with staff and the school community.

The Education Assistant - Lead contributes to the design and implementation of documented plans and provide solutions and support to teachers and education assistants, which promote positive student behaviour and improved educational outcomes in the classroom. It is highly desirable for applicants to have experience in working students with a range of learning needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
