Role description
We are seeking to establish a pool of Special Needs Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
East Kenwick Primary School (PS) has been part of the Kenwick community for over 35 years. The school has a steady enrolment of around 400 students drawn from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds. We have approximately 15 percent Indigenous enrolment and 48 percent English as a Second Language. We celebrate our cultural diversity and the experiences that each family brings to our school.
We have a long running community agreement with our Indigenous families, and during this business plan cycle, we will develop a whole community agreement that is respective and inclusive of our diverse community.

The Role
As an Education Assistant - Special Needs you will under teacher direction, assist in the education programs and in promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Suitable applicants will assist the teacher in the delivery of planned education programs to assist students to reach their full potential through the development of their academic, social, emotional and physical skills including the operation of computers and digital technologies.
