Role description
We are seeking to establish a pool of Home Economics Assistant for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
Under the direction of the teacher, the Home Economics Assistant should assist in the delivery of planned education programs and implement individual and small group programs or demonstrations.
The suitable applicants will ideally assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment by maintaining equipment, materials and resources for use in classes, displays and demonstrations, and assist the teacher with clean and safe storage of items after classes and activities. They should also check all equipment and report any discrepancies to the Home Economics Teacher.
