Role description
Applicants from the previous process IPS/SS993646 who were assessed as suitable are not required to reapply.
We are seeking to establish a pool of dedicated and friendly Education Assistants Special Needs (EASN) for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Bassendean Primary School (PS) first opened as West Guildford Primary School in October 1906. In 1922, the West Guildford area, along with the school, was renamed Bassendean.
As an Independent Public School, Bassendean PS implements the identified values, focus outcomes and strategic directions of the Department of Education. We aspire to be a school of excellence where students strive to achieve and be successful. We aim to develop students who are confident and positive in developing meaningful relationships and have an understanding that each individual is different. As educators in partnership with parents, our greatest aspiration is that our students will grow up to be adults who contribute positively to their world.
Bassendean PS is a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) school aiming to provide a positive and safe environment that enriches every student’s desire to learn and strive for excellence and to be happy, responsible and confident members of the community.
