The Role
Under the supervision of teaching staff, the Laboratory Technician provides support in the preparation of chemicals and equipment, as well as the construction of simple apparatus for science classes. The role also involves ordering supplies and equipment, monitoring and managing stock levels, and performing basic repairs and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment. In addition, the Laboratory Technician constructs teaching aids as required and is responsible for the labelling, maintenance, and safe storage of laboratory chemicals, equipment, and resources, as well as the safe disposal of chemical, physical, and biological laboratory materials.
