Role description

The Primary Leader - Year 6 Transition and Events Coordinator is responsible for supporting students and families through the critical transition from primary to secondary schooling, including the facilitation of Year 6 graduation ceremonies and related activities. This role leads targeted student interventions by managing IESP applications and overseeing OnePlans, ensuring inclusive education and improved student outcomes. The Coordinator organises primary events and assemblies that foster school spirit, engagement, and positive culture, while also planning and delivering drama performances to encourage student confidence, creativity, and collaboration. Additionally, the Primary Leader supports the Primary Assistant Principal by monitoring student attendance and behaviour, implementing strategies to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment. The position includes effective line management of designated primary teaching staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to enhance teaching practice and promote professional growth.
