Role description
Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated high-level capability to develop, lead, implement, and monitor improvement plans and maintenance schedules for the grounds and buildings within a complex physical environment
- Demonstrated high level ability to manage the College Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) responsibilities as per the OHS Management System.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead a small facilities team, collaborate effectively with senior leadership, and manage contractors and external agencies (e.g., VSBA) while fostering a safe, efficient, and collaborative work environment.
- Proven capability in using Microsoft Office and DET platforms including AIMS and EduSafe Plus, with the flexibility to learn and operate additional OH&S software as needed.
- Highly developed organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise workloads, support budget oversight, and maintain accurate records and systems
Role
The successful applicant will play an integral role within the College by ensuring that the school¿s buildings and grounds are maintained in a safe and secure manner, ensuring that they meet the needs of the school and it¿s employees and students. The Facilities & OHS Manager is responsible for managing the grounds and maintenance team, ensuring they work flexibly and reliably in a collaborative manner. It is expected that they will provide a high level of customer service and be competent in the provision of up to date and relevant information.
