Chirnside Park Primary School (CPPS) is a growing school of 420 students. The school is a friendly, welcoming and inclusive school with a keen focus on the FISO priorities of Student Well Being, Engagement and Achievement.
Our high academic results are testament to the fact that we promote a whole school evidence- based approach to teaching and learning with a strong emphasis on Literacy and Numeracy. We have developed a specific Chirnside Park Instructional Model for the way we approach teaching and learning across all grades.
Staff at Chirnside Park PS know that Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) has a significant impact on a student's ability to engage with the curriculum and learn effectively. There is an agreed whole school approach to student management and well-being. The cornerstone of our wellbeing program is our  commitment to the development of Social and Emotional learning through the Resilience Project and our school wide commitment to developing our understanding of Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness. The Resilience project is delivered in conjunction with the Departments Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships program.
As a school we are committed to the FISO priority of Connected Schools.
