Out of Hours School Care Coordinator

Selection Criteria

SC 1 - Demonstrate knowledge of the guidelines (National Standards) and experience with the Quality Assurance process and ability to implement the National Quality Framework for Early Childhood as it relates to School Age Care (SAC) Children's Services.

SC 2 - Demonstrate the capacity to provide leadership and management of a large team, to supervise others in planning and implementation of a high-quality program.

SC 3 - Strong experience using the SmartCentral system or preparedness to learn, and to meet the school's high expectations in the management of the program's documentation using this system.

SC 4 - Demonstrate a commitment to professional learning and growth for both self and others.

SC 5 - Demonstrate sound communication and interpersonal skills with all stakeholders, including management team, children, parents, colleagues, school staff and the wider community with a commitment to excellent customer service.

SC 6 - Extensive working knowledge of child safe standards and proven experience in implementing child safe practices and promoting a culturally safe and inclusive environment.

Role

This is a fulltime (38 hours per week) position.  Current hours are 10.00am- 6.00pm, but flexibility could be negotiated between hours of 7.00am-6.00pm. The position is in school terms only; our school does not operate a vacation care program.  Although the position is posted as fixed term, there is potentially scope for further term of employment.
