Primary objective
To provide senior leadership and overall management of the professional conduct unit of the Teacher Registration Board and the broader office, including management of all aspects of the Board’s disciplinary function with input into the development and implementation of policy to support professional conduct. Provide expert advice to the Director and the Board on professional conduct matters.
Context statement
The Board is an independent statutory authority that reports directly to the Minister for Education. The Board is charged with registering persons as teachers in the Northern Territory and facilitating the continuing competence of teachers and quality teaching and educational leadership in the Northern Territory.
