Primary objective
Oversee the design, development, and implementation of Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs for secondary school students. This position collaborates with industry, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), and schools to provide accurate guidance and comprehensive support to stakeholders in a complex service environment. The role also supports the Department of Education’s (DET) RTO to ensure the delivery of quality VET programs in schools, including guidance and assistance for school-based trainers and assessors.
Context statement
The Department of Education and Training oversees vocational programs across public and private Northern Territory (NT) secondary schools including managing the distribution of VET funding and facilitating industry partnerships.
