Primary objective

Provide high level expert educational leadership in the policy development, program design, implementation, training and development of the Abecedarian Approach Australia (3a) throughout the Northern Territory (NT) in the Stay Play Learn Families as First Teachers (FaFT) model in urban and very remote communities.

Context statement

The Early Childhood branch provides strategic leadership to deliver high‑quality, integrated early childhood services and programs, and reforms that maximise outcomes for children and young people across the Northern Territory. The branch, which includes the NT regulatory authority Quality Education and Care NT, leads key policy initiatives, programs and regulatory functions, provides expert advice to the Minister and senior executives, and works collaboratively with stakeholders across the early childhood education and care sector.
