Primary objective

This position supports professional development and learning opportunities for Aboriginal educators in Milingimbi school/s, through culturally responsive approaches that align with the career aspirations of Aboriginal Educators. Work with staff to provide guidance and support for all Aboriginal students and Aboriginal communities to achieve strong educational outcomes and enhance students’ wellbeing, attendance, and engagement.

Context statement

This position sits within the Milingimbi school structure and works closely with the department’s corporate Aboriginal Educator’s team who manage the Remote Aboriginal Teacher Education (RATE) program. The Aboriginal Educators team is part of Safety Culture and Care (SCC) within Educational Leadership, Culture and Care (ELCC). ELCC caters for education workforce needs across the Northern Territory, including those related to career development, wellbeing, and cultural responsiveness.
