Location Profile
Yarraville Special Developmental School (YSDS) is a small, vibrant school with a strong emphasis on building and maintaining positive relationships with families and the wider community. We currently support 100 students aged between 5 and 18 years, all with a diagnosis of moderate to severe intellectual disability.
At YSDS, students are at the centre of everything we do. We are committed to providing a safe, stimulating, and flexible learning environment that values the individuality and ability of each student, empowering them to flourish and succeed.
Our dedicated teachers, education support staff, and allied health team work collaboratively to create rich learning experiences that foster growth, independence, and wellbeing. Selection Criteria
SC1 Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills. Demonstrated experience in responding to student learning needs.
SC2 Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing high impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluating the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth.
