Role description
Selection Criteria
- Relevant qualifications and professional expertise, with demonstrated knowledge and practical application of occupational therapy principles to support students with diverse learning and wellbeing needs. Proven ability to support the development of fine and gross motor skills, emotional regulation, sensory processing, and functional independence to enable access to learning and participation in school routines.
- Demonstrated capacity to design and deliver targeted individual and small group interventions that support student engagement, self regulation, social skills, and functional routines. Proven ability to identify and address barriers to participation through environmental modifications, adaptive equipment, and evidence based classroom strategies that support inclusion, mobility, positioning, sensory needs, and engagement in learning.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary Student Wellbeing Team, contributing to case management and coordinated responses for students requiring additional support. Demonstrated capacity to liaise collaboratively with teachers, education support staff, families, Student Support Services, and external professionals to support consistency and continuity of care.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage positively and professionally with students, staff, families, and external stakeholders.
