Role description
St Luke's, Marsden Park is looking for a Teacher of PDHPE to join the team!
Key Responsibilities
At St Luke’s, teachers strategically work in teams across a stage to collaboratively plan, prepare, teach, assess and evaluate student learning and are required to:
- Support and assist the evangelising mission of Catholic education;
- See themselves as learners and be committed to ongoing professional learning;
- Work collaboratively with other teachers to design inquiry learning experiences where students exercise choice to demonstrate knowledge and understanding;
- Enhance social skills and nurture the growth of enterprise skills including critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration for each student;
- Use digital technology as an enabler and accelerator for student and teacher learning;
- Use diagnostic data, summative data and formative data to inform ‘next steps’ for students;
- Demonstrate a deep love of their subject area and an understanding of curriculum and pedagogy, and an openness to learning
- Regularly provide students with feedback as part of the teaching and learning cycle;
- Be open to growth and development through professional learning experience which includes practice analysis conversations, classroom observations and input from St Luke’s coaches
