Role description

St Columba’s College is seeking a passionate and engaging Italian Teacher to join our Languages faculty and inspire students to develop confidence and curiosity in language learning and cultural understanding.

This role involves delivering high-quality Italian language instruction while fostering an appreciation of Italian culture and supporting students to become effective global communicators.

This is a parental leave fixed term part time (0.61FTE) position, working Tuesday to Thursday to commence preferrably from 9 June 2026 until the end of Term 2 2027. 

The classes include:

  • Year 7 Italian
  • Year 8 Italian
  • Yera 9 Italian (2 classes)

You will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Italian language lessons across Years [insert levels]
  • Support students in developing speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
  • Incorporate cultural learning to enrich student understanding and engagement
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback
