Position Information
Warrawong Public School is situated on Dharawal land within the southern Wollongong suburb of Warrawong, strategically located in the heart of the region's industrial and commercial precinct. The school serves a community characterised by low-economic status and rich ethnic diversity, reflected in its Family Occupation Index (FOEI) of 176.
With a current enrolment of 278 students, 35% of whom come from a language background other than English, representing over 28 different nationalities. The student body also includes 51 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
The school comprises 11 mainstream classes and four specialised support classes catering to students with moderate intellectual disbiltiy, mild intellectual disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder and those eligible for multi-catergorical support.
