Woodenbong Central School (WCS) is a K-12 school of approximately 170 students, with 45% identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, committed to preparing students for a rapidly changing world by fostering adaptability and resilience. Woodenbong Central School utilises equity funding to support targeted learning initiatives outlined in its School Excellence Plan with a focus on Explicit Teaching, High Potential and Gifted Education and Careers Pathways. The school has built and continues to strengthen a strong relationship with the Githabul Nation, the traditional owners of the land, to ensure equitable outcomes for all Aboriginal students.
