Role description
Science Teacher | Term 2 2026 Part-Time Contract
Freshwater Christian College is seeking a talented Science Teacher to join our Secondary School on a part-time basis, three days a week for Term 2 2026. This is a unique opportunity to join a faith-filled community where academic rigour meets deep pastoral care.
About You
The successful candidate will bring a strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and pedagogical practice.
The successful candidate will also be fully aligned with the Christian values and beliefs of Freshwater Christian College, and seek a role providing opportunities to utilise their talents and skills to make a difference in the lives of our students and the wider College community.
Essential criteria:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in teaching.
- Queensland College of Teachers Registration (or the ability to obtain).
- Be fully aligned with the values, virtues, and Christian beliefs of Freshwater Christian College.
- Able to affirm the College’s Statement of Faith.
- Able to comply with College policies, procedures, codes of conduct, and training requirements, including those related to work health and safety, risk management, child protection, and confidentiality.
- Able to work with all members of the College community.
- A willingness to assist in extracurricular activities after normal working hours.
- Be legally permitted to work in Australia.
