MLC School is seeking a passionate and skilled English Teacher to join our vibrant learning community on a temporary basis until the end of the 2026 academic year. This is a unique opportunity to inspire young women to be fearless thinkers with moral courage and compassion—empowered to shape their own futures and the world around them.

About the Role

As a member of English Departments, you will:

  • Teach Junior English classes (0.4 FTE).
  • Design and deliver inclusive, engaging programs aligned with the School’s Learning and Teaching Framework.
  • Foster student wellbeing and academic growth through differentiated learning and collaborative practice.
  • Actively utilise and develop resources using the school’s Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Demonstrate a willingness to regularly update teaching and learning resources in alignment with current best practices and syllabus requirements.

About You
You are a proactive, collaborative and detail-oriented professional with:

  • A degree in English and Secondary teaching and NESA accreditation.
  • Experience teaching junior English
  • A commitment to girls’ education and the values of MLC School and the Uniting Church.
