Primary objective
Lead a regional team responsible for assisting in planning, implementing, monitoring and reviewing strategies to improve school attendance and engagement across Northern Territory Government schools.
Context statement
Student Attendance and Engagement is responsible for the implementation and management of a range of Australian and Northern Territory Government initiatives, focused on student attendance and engagement in schooling or other eligible options, leading to improved school enrolment and attendance rates in the NT.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Lead and manage a regionally based team responsible for the delivery of youth re-engagement and education compliance activities across the Northern Territory.
- Exercise delegations under the NT Education Act 2025 and Education Regulations in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
