About the Role

Education Support Officer (Inclusion)

Permanent Positions | 30 hours per week | 41 weeks per year

We are seeking experienced Inclusive Education Support Officers to join our Secondary Campus (Years 7 – 12). The successful candidates will work in partnership with teachers to provide educational services to students in both mainstream and the Mary Mackillop Centre, supporting students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist student learning under the supervision of a teacher.
• Assisting teachers in preparing, implementing and supervising classrooms and/or intervention programs.
• With teachers approval, apply personal knowledge and initiative to suggest modifications to educational programs to meet the learning needs of specific students.
• Supervise and care for students with formally identified special needs in accordance with Personalised Plans for Learning (PPL).
• Assist with identifying student learning or behaviour challenges.
• Actively participate in school activities, events, staff and team meetings, required training, professional development and professional reviews.
