Principal Systems Officer

ICT HR Systems are seeking to establish a pool of Principal Systems Officer for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2026 and up to the end of, April, 2028. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Education Business Services (EBS) branch delivers essential professional business services and support to Western Australian public schools, statutory boards and departmental divisions, with a strong focus on finance, ICT and infrastructure. EBS is committed to continuous improvement, ensuring its staff, systems and processes remain responsive, flexible, transparent, accountable and collaborative to effectively meet the diverse needs of its customers and support high-quality education outcomes.

Within EBS, the Integration, Build and Deployment Directorate oversees the development, integration and maintenance of ICT solutions, including application security, architecture, testing and data management. The HR Systems Team, operating within this environment, manages and supports the Department’s HRMIS and related systems, ensuring payroll accuracy, data integrity, system security and user access. The team also provides system administration, maintenance, enhancements and user support to ensure HR systems remain reliable, secure and aligned with organisational requirements.
