Role description

St Bishoy Coptic Orthodox College is seeking passionate and committed Christian Secondary teachers for casual day-to-day (on-call) positions. We are looking for teachers who demonstrate initiative, sound judgement and the ability to respond confidently in a dynamic classroom environment, while modelling strong Christian character in their daily practice. These roles may lead to ongoing or permanent opportunities for the right candidates.

The successful applicants will demonstrate:

  • A genuine commitment to the Christian faith, actively serving within their Church community
  • The ability to lead students by example, maintaining high expectations for behaviour, learning and respect
  • Initiative, adaptability and the capacity to think clearly and act decisively in the moment
  • Strong organisation, reliability and punctuality
  • The ability to deliver lessons in an engaging, structured and purposeful manner across Secondary settings
  • Effective use of ICT to support and enhance student learning
  • Flexibility and availability to work 3–5 days per week, as required
  • The capacity to build and maintain positive, professional relationships with students, staff and parents
  • A clear commitment to supporting the College in delivering quality education within a caring Christian environment
