Primary objective
Provide high level differentiated support to the NT Department of Education and Training in the governance, development and monitoring of operational policies, including managing a policy register.

The Operational Policy work unit is responsible for the oversight and co-ordination of operational policy throughout the NT Department of Education and Training.Key duties and responsibilities
- Provide strategic advice and identify opportunities for continuous improvement through the provision of high-level differentiated support in the development and evaluation of policy initiatives.
- Initiate and undertake research, and prepare high level, comprehensive briefings, reports and papers on a range of policy related issues.
